Processes and Materials
To meet the diverse requirements for metal components in drive technology, we utilize a variety of processes and materials. For housings, we rely on the investment casting process, which offers not only a high surface finish but also virtually unlimited design flexibility. Steel, stainless steel, or aluminum are typically used for these applications. For gears and other micro-components, we use the MIM process or sintering. Both processes ensure high accuracy and precision in the manufacture of your micro-components.
The choice of material is determined by the specific process—and we’d be happy to advise you in detail on this as well. We’re also happy to manufacture and assemble subassemblies for you using a combination of different processes; for example, precision-cast housings combined with the necessary gears produced using the MIM process.
